The Kidde conventional photoelectric smoke and heat detectors are interchangeable head and base detectors using Optica smoke sensing technology and high accuracy heat sensor that provides outstanding stability and excellent response to a wide range of fires. Like their Kidde Intelligent series counterparts, KC2 smoke detectors feature a photoelectric chamber using Optica sensing technology providing multi-criteria response discriminating real smoke from other nuisance sources. A single tri-color LED located on the housing provides alarm, trouble, and standby indications. The KC2 series consists of 3 models; KC2-OS is a multi-criteria photoelectric smoke detector delivering a wide sensitivity range with discrimination to nuisance events and built-in environmental compensation.
KC2-HT is a combination smoke and heat detector that incorporates both photoelectric smoke sensing and a high-accuracy heat sensor, providing a comprehensive fire detection solution. This model is ideal for areas where both smoke and heat detection are required, such as in high-ceiling spaces or areas with high particulate levels. The KC2-HT model offers superior performance and adaptability, making it an excellent choice for commercial and industrial applications.
The KC2-R is a remote indicator model that can be connected to any of the KC2 series detectors, providing a visual indication of alarm and trouble conditions at a remote location.
